Technical Expertise – You have hands-on experience with electric vehicle powertrains, including motors, inverters, and battery management systems, and know how to troubleshoot both low- and high-voltage systems safely.

Responsibilities & Daily Expectations
Your role is multifaceted, focused on maintaining and improving fleet powertrain performance. Daily activities include:
Diagnosing and resolving complex powertrain issues impacting vehicle performance, energy consumption, or charging systems.
Performing root cause analysis and implementing both interim and permanent corrective actions.
Developing and maintaining troubleshooting guides for powertrain components to support field technicians.
Validating components and performing vehicle bring-up/functional verification procedures.
Tuning and validating powertrain control parameters to optimize performance and efficiency.
Analyzing fleet-level data to proactively identify systematic issues and recommend preventative measures.
Supporting night and weekend shifts as needed, with advanced notice.
Traveling occasionally to support other operational locations.
Requirements & Qualifications for Success
To excel in this role, candidates should bring strong technical knowledge, operational discipline, and excellent communication skills. Essential qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering.
2+ years of experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles, focusing on powertrain, energy storage, or charging systems.
Hands-on experience with EV powertrain systems (motors, inverters, BMS).
Proficiency in vehicle dynamics, control systems, and reading electrical schematics, harness diagrams, and state machine diagrams.
Experience with Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) troubleshooting.
Ability to safely troubleshoot low- and high-voltage systems.
Must pass background check, MVR check, and drug screen.
Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with powertrain simulation software (MATLAB/Simulink, ADAMS).
Linux & Python programming for fleet-level data analysis.
GPS/RTS debugging and CAN bus messaging experience.
Experience remotely troubleshooting EV systems.
