About the Role

We're partnering with our client, an emerging AI and robotics company, to find an experienced Talent Acquisition Recruiter who can take ownership of full-cycle recruiting across a growing, multidisciplinary organization.

This is a hands-on opportunity for a recruiter who understands the intersection of artificial intelligence, robotics hardware, software engineering, and real-world operations. You'll lead searches from initial intake through offer acceptance, developing targeted sourcing strategies, building relationships with specialized talent, and helping hiring teams make informed decisions. You'll work directly with technical leaders, hiring managers, and functional stakeholders while using AI-powered recruiting workflows and data to improve efficiency, candidate experience, and hiring outcomes.

This role is ideal for an independent, technically curious recruiter who enjoys working across disciplines, navigating complex searches, and helping shape recruiting practices in an evolving organization.

Core Attributes

  • Technical Curiosity: You enjoy understanding complex technologies and can engage credibly with engineers, researchers, and technical hiring managers.

  • Proactive Talent Discovery: You know how to identify and engage specialized talent through research, creative sourcing, and thoughtful outreach rather than relying on inbound applications.

  • Full-Cycle Ownership: You confidently manage recruiting from role definition through negotiation and close while maintaining momentum and accountability.

  • Consultative Partnership: You build credibility with hiring managers, challenge unclear requirements constructively, and help teams make well-informed hiring decisions.

  • AI-Enabled Problem Solving: You actively use AI assistants, agents, and workflow automation to improve how recruiting work gets done.

  • Analytical Decision-Making: You use pipeline metrics, market insights, and recruiting data to identify obstacles and adjust your approach.

  • Adaptability and Independence: You thrive in evolving environments, manage competing priorities, and operate effectively without close supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full recruiting lifecycle, including intake meetings, position scoping, sourcing strategy, screening, interview coordination and design, candidate management, offer development, negotiation, and closing.

  • Recruit across AI/ML, robotics hardware, software engineering, simulation, robotics operations, product, business, and executive operations.

  • Develop targeted talent maps and identify prospective candidates through outbound sourcing, referrals, research institutions, universities, conferences, and professional communities.

  • Use LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Google Scholar, Boolean searches, and other research techniques to engage specialized technical talent.

  • Partner directly with hiring managers and functional leaders to establish requirements, clarify evaluation criteria, calibrate candidate quality, and conduct regular pipeline reviews.

  • Build and improve AI-assisted recruiting workflows for sourcing research, candidate summaries, outreach, interview feedback synthesis, market intelligence, and reporting.

  • Guide candidates through the hiring process with clear, timely, professional communication and thoughtful expectation-setting.

  • Navigate complex offer discussions involving compensation, equity, competing opportunities, relocation, and work authorization considerations.

  • Monitor recruiting metrics, including pipeline health, stage conversion, time to fill, sourcing effectiveness, and offer acceptance.

  • Maintain accurate applicant tracking system records and support consistent, structured, and compliant recruiting practices.

  • Share sourcing insights, workflow improvements, and recruiting market intelligence with hiring stakeholders.

Qualifications for Success

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including successful placement of senior-level and difficult-to-fill positions.

  • Direct recruiting experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or comparable deep-tech environments involving both physical products and machine learning.

  • Demonstrated success recruiting across AI/ML, hardware engineering, and software engineering, with the ability to support nontechnical functions.

  • Technical fluency sufficient to evaluate resumes, research papers, technical projects, and GitHub profiles and conduct meaningful candidate conversations.

  • Hands-on experience using Claude or comparable AI assistants in recruiting, including AI agents and agentic workflows.

  • Advanced proactive sourcing capabilities, including Boolean search, X-ray search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and Google Scholar.

  • Strong experience managing offers, negotiations, competing opportunities, and complex candidate considerations.

  • Proficiency with an applicant tracking system such as Rippling, Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, or a comparable platform.

  • Comfort using recruiting metrics to assess pipeline performance and improve hiring strategies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, organizational skills, and independent execution.

  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday in Cambridge, MA, or San Francisco, CA, subject to confirmation of approved work locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience recruiting during rapid organizational growth, particularly following a funding milestone.

  • Established professional relationships within the Boston/Cambridge or San Francisco Bay Area robotics and AI communities.

  • Experience recruiting research-oriented candidates, including individuals with doctoral degrees, publication records, or laboratory backgrounds.

  • Familiarity with robotics hardware development cycles and how staffing needs align with engineering, build, and testing milestones.

  • Experience developing AI prompt libraries, custom agents, or internal recruiting automation tools.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $55.00–$75.00 per hour.

  • Employment Type: Full-time

  • Benefits: 401k, Medical, Dental, Vision, and more

Working Environment

  • Work Arrangement: Onsite, five days per week.

  • Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts.

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday; 8:30 AM–5:30 PM

This position involves regular collaboration with technical leaders and functional hiring teams in an evolving, multidisciplinary robotics environment.
