About the Role
Our client is hiring an engineering-focused Autonomous Vehicle Technician to help keep fleet vehicles safe, road-ready, and prepared for testing, demonstrations, and day-to-day operational use. This is a hands-on, in-person contract role based in Miami, Florida, supporting a workshop environment where maintenance, diagnostics, repair coordination, and vehicle readiness all come together.
This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys solving mechanical and technical problems, working closely with shop and engineering partners, and maintaining high standards for fleet quality and safety. Operational Readiness Mindset: You focus on keeping vehicles in a ready state for on-road use, testing, and demonstrations.
Mechanical Depth: You bring strong hands-on knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair methods, tools, materials, and service practices.
Ownership: You can drive repairs from initial issue identification through documentation, escalation, and follow-through.
Organization: You keep tools, parts, service records, and shop spaces orderly so work can move efficiently.
Cross-Functional Communication: You communicate clearly with shop leadership, engineering teams, and internal partners to keep work aligned.
Adaptability: You can shift between preventive maintenance, diagnostics, rework, field support, and workshop upkeep as priorities change.
