About the Role
Our client is hiring an Autonomous Vehicle Robot Service Technician to support the production, maintenance, and repair of self-driving delivery robots in Arlington, Virginia. This is a hands-on, in-person contract role for someone who is comfortable moving between assembly work, troubleshooting, repair, and local field support.
This role matters because it helps keep robotic systems built, serviced, and ready for real-world operation. You’ll work in a fast-moving environment where mechanical and electrical work, testing, and problem-solving all come together to support fleet reliability and new development efforts.

Responsibilities
Assemble harnesses, cables, and connectors for autonomous delivery robots.
Install, replace, and support sensors such as LiDAR, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors.
Perform routine maintenance across the robot fleet.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical breakdowns and support incident investigations.
Execute service campaigns and repairs on fleet units.
Test and troubleshoot components including suspensions and batteries.
Travel between local sites to provide onsite support as needed.
Support rapid prototyping and testing activities.
Assist with inventory management for parts, tools, and related materials.
Contribute to research and development experiments tied to new projects.
Assemble and disassemble products and install custom electronic modules.
Read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings in support of repair and build work.
Qualifications for Success
Minimum Requirements:
Experience working with mechanical and electrical tools, including measuring equipment.
Experience assembling and disassembling products or components.
Ability to install custom electronic modules.
Familiarity working with AC/DC currents.
Ability to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings.
Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record for the last 12 months.
Ability to lift and move items exceeding 50 pounds.
Strong attention to detail and a logical, structured troubleshooting approach.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Comfort working in field settings when needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in automotive plants, dealership service, or similar environments.
Experience in manufacturing or technician-focused service environments.
Soldering skills.
Advanced computer literacy.
Experience supporting electromechanical products in production or service settings.
Working Environment
In-person in Arlington, VA
Schedule: Full-time (contract), typically 40 hours per week
Travel: Local travel as needed for onsite support
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move items exceeding 50 pounds
